Ayant eu des Chesapeakes qui provenaient de l'élevage Nordais pendant ma jeunesse, il allait de soit que mon tout premier Chesapeake bien à moi serait un Nordais. C'est ainsi que Naya est entrée dans ma vie à l'été 2006. Bien que Naya n'ait été ni la plus belle Chesapeake, ni la meilleure chasseuse, elle n'aurait pu être un meilleur compagnon. Naya a toujours été obéissante, facile à vivre, douce et patiente tant avec les enfants qu'avec les autres chiens. Elle était un pur bonheur à sortir en public et m'a valu des compliments partout où nous allions. Si j'avais pu la clôner je l'aurais fait sans hésiter. Naya était le chien parfait pour moi.
C'est avec Naya que j'ai fait mes débuts dans le monde des hunt tests et même si le chemin vers l'obtention de son titre JH fut long et complexe, il n'en fut pas moins rempli de plaisir. Après avoir eu 2 portées, Naya a pris sa "retraite" et a profité de privilèges de vieux chien.

En décembre 2019, âgée de 13 ans et 7 mois, Naya a obtenu son titre Novice Trick Dog (NTD) avec l'association Do More With Your Dog! Comme quoi on n'est jamais trop vieux pour avoir du plaisir.

Naya nous a malheureusment quitté le 27 juin 2020 à l'âge vénérable de 14 ans et un mois. Merci pour tout ce que tu nous a donné pendant toutes ces années Naya. Tu nous manqueras terriblement.

Since my childhood Chesapeakes came from Nordais kennel, it was obvious that my first very own Chesapeake would be a Nordais. That is how I welcomed Naya into my life in July 2006. Naya may not have been the most beautiful Chessie, neither was she the best hunter, but she was by far the best companion I could have asked for. She had always been very obedient, easy going, and gentle and patient with kids as well as with other dogs. She was a pure joy to have around and she earned me compliments wherever we went. If I could have clones her I would have done so without hesitation. Naya was the perfect dog for me.
It is with Naya that I made my debut in the world of Hunt Tests and even though the obtention of her JH title has been long and complex, we have had lots of fun in the process. After two litters, Naya "retired" and ejoyed old-dog priviledges.

In December 2019, at the age of 13 years and 7 months, Naya earned her Novice Trick Dog title (NTD) with the association Do More With Your Dog! Which goes to show we are never too old to have fun.
Naya unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge on June 27, 2020 at the honourable age of 14 years and one month. Thank you for all that you have given us over the years, Naya. You will be terribly missed.
